Lea Müller is a Ph.D. student in the Perceiving Systems deparment supervised by Michael J. Black. Her research focuses on 3D pose and shape estimation from RGB images. In particular, she is interested in understanding and using contact, e.g. self-contact, for this task. Before her Ph.D., Lea Müller received her B.Sc. from the Ruprcht Karl University of Heidelberg (2015) in mathematics and her M.Sc. from the Friedrich Schiller University Jena (2018) in computational and data science. During her studies, she was particularly interested in the intersection of computer science and psychology, which is reflected in the topics of her Bachelor's and Master's thesis.
In January 2024, I moved to UC Berkeley and started a PostDoc position with Angjoo Kanazawa and Jitendra Malik. Please see me personal website for more info: https://muelea.github.io.
