Ph.D. Student, Perceiving Systems
My Ph.D. focuses on building new tools and models that automate the process of creating realistic expressive digital humans which are compatible with the animation and gaming industry standards. Through my Ph.D. I built models such as SMPL-X and STAR.
Prior to starting my Ph.D., I was a computer vision scientist at Affectiva an MIT startup (now acquired by Smart Eye), where I built tools to analyze facial expressions in video imagery. I was a google summer of code mentor for CloudCV within Dhruv Batra's lab. From 2017 till 2018, I was a research engineer within the MPI-Tuebingen, Perceiving Systems department, where I laid the software foundation for processing raw data from different types of scanners to creating morphable models.
I completed my Bachelors in Robotics at the University of Liverpool, followed by a masters in Advanced computer sciences with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Manchester, followed by a masters in Mathematics (Statistics) at Imperial College London.
